The question I was chasing
As a coach, how could I help guide and inspire a team to use AI to build something new?
I was one of the coaches on Trinny London's two-day AI programme, delivered by Lichen AI. I coached the creative team through the event, which ended in hackathon-style pitches to leadership.
The constraints
Trinny London's HQ team downed tools for two days, the second day ending in pitches to leadership. Whatever the team walked out with had to be worth two days of their time.
Day one was fundamentals, day two was build and pitch. Anything we built had to fit inside a day and be something we could demo in a few minutes.
The harder constraint was the differing levels of experience. Across the team, we had different levels of adoption. My role was to answer questions, guide them through their workflow, and help them build something that they could use internally moving forwards.
The decisions that mattered
Make their customer research talk back. Trinny already knew its ideal customer in detail. We turned that profile into an interactive agent so the creative team could sense-check ideas and get simulated feedback grounded in the research, before anything left the room. Not a substitute for real customers: a way to make the research they already had show up inside the work.
Build a brand-review agent for everyone else. We loaded it with the essential Trinny London brand and creative guidelines, so anyone in the company could drop work in and get feedback on spacing, fonts, logos and marks. One build that takes the minor review load off the creative team.

Where it landed
The creative team shipped on day two and pitched what they had built to leadership: an agent that plays the ideal customer, and an agent that reviews creative against brand.
Most AI training ends when the room empties. This one ended with working ideas made by the people who would use them.
