Launchpad
Save time on your next project with a simple skill that sets up hosting, auth, Postgres database and more.
Getting the setup out of the way
I built Launchpad after running into the same issue with each new AI engineering project. Before I could get into building, there was hosting, deployment, a database, authentication and sometimes email and payments to set up. That admin could really get in the way of my flow.
I usually choose and configure those things individually for each project. But sometimes I want to get up and running quickly, spend less time on setup and more time building.
Bringing the setup together
Vercel had recently acquired Better Auth, and Neon Postgres was available through its platform. That felt like a good opportunity to bring the setup together in a skill I could invoke from Codex or Claude Code and let the agent work through for me.
Launchpad creates an app scaffold with authentication, configures a Postgres database and sets up hosting and deployment through Vercel. It separates development, preview and production environments, so there's somewhere to work on changes before they go live. It can also work around an existing project, preserving the framework, routes and integrations already there.
Email when you want it
I included an optional step for developer email through Resend. Personally, I love Resend and think they're ace, but I know it's not everyone's stack, so I wanted that to be a choice.
Something other developers can build on
For me, Launchpad was something useful I could build once and keep coming back to. I wanted to release it as open source so other developers could use it, build on it or customise it for their own projects.
